HP / Aruba 501 Wireless Client Bridge
A dual-band client bridge that joins an existing WLAN and hands that connection to any Ethernet device behind it, with enterprise-class authentication so the bridged equipment stays inside your security policy.
Devices with no native wireless support can be easily integrated into a wireless LAN (WLAN) using the HP 501 Wireless Client Bridge. Strong enterprise-class layered security features, including an IEEE 802.1X supplicant, protect the network from intrusions.
Printers, media players, AV receivers, alarm panels and older TVs get onto the Wi-Fi through their Ethernet port — no adapter per device.
802.1X supplicant, WPA2-Enterprise and layered authentication keep the bridged devices under the same policy as the rest of the network.
Useful for detached structures, retrofits and finished walls where pulling another Cat6 run is not practical.
